PCO Academy is an independent training provider for London’s licensed private hire and taxi drivers. We prepare drivers for the TfL assessment with a question bank and full mock tests written and verified by former assessors.
Why we exist
Getting licensed in London is expensive and slow, and the assessment catches out drivers who already know the job — not because they cannot do it, but because no one showed them what the test actually asks or how it is marked.
We started PCO Academy in 2021 to fix that: take what former assessors know about the real assessment and turn it into practice that mirrors it exactly, so drivers walk in prepared instead of hopeful.
Written by people who marked it
Every question and explanation is written and checked by trainers who have sat on the other side of the TfL assessment. If it is not on the real test, it is not in the course.
Plain English, no filler
The rules are dense enough already. We summarise licensing, safeguarding and route knowledge the way a colleague would explain it — clearly, and only what you need.
Honest about the rules
If something is still a consultation, we say so. We do not dress up guesswork as fact, and we never claim to guarantee a result we cannot control.

No classroom, no fixed dates. Practise the question bank and sit full mock assessments whenever it suits your driving hours.
